ENSŌ Vintage Amsterdam

ENSŌ Vintage is a vintage shop at Elandsgracht 12, on the edge of the Jordaan. It is open every day from 11:00 to 18:00, so it is easy to fit into a day of walking and browsing. The selection is beautifully curated. It is a bit more high-end than Episode or the Kilo Store, but that is exactly the point: the curation is so well done that you do not have to search for the good pieces yourself. Next to the unique vintage items, ENSŌ also sells upcycled pieces from its own ENSŌ label. The interior is just as special. Stainless steel details, 3D-printed vases and mid-century modern design classics complete the concept. There is a warmth in the shop, but it still feels like a properly high-end curated store, and the balance between the two is what I liked most. I bought a mid-length vintage leather coat there, in a Morpheus from The Matrix style. It is the kind of coat that works with so many different outfits.
